With Rainier Heating & Cooling, you can take advantage of a variety of HVAC rebates depending on your energy provider. Our team also offers $450 duct sealing and $120 duct insulation rebates for residential properties (up to four units per building), and $250 for our advanced Aeroseal duct sealing in manufactured homes.

Puget Sound Energy HVAC Rebates

  • Get a $1,500 rebate when you replace your electric resistance heating system with a qualifying air-source heat pump (ducted or ductless).

Tacoma Power Energy HVAC Rebates

The Tacoma Power Heat Pump Rebate provides a rebate for those paying out-of-pocket for a new heat pump.

  • Tacoma Power Heat Pump Rebate: If you’re paying out-of-pocket for your new heat pump, you’re eligible for a rebate. We’ll cover a portion of the bill from your Tacoma Power Participating Contractor.
  • If you install a ductless heat pump, you’ll receive a $1,000 rebate, and if you install a variable speed central heat pump, you’ll receive a $1,000-$2,000 rebate based on existing heating type.

Aeroseal Duct Sealing Rebates

We offer a $450 duct sealing and $120 duct insulation rebate for residential properties up to four units per building and a $250 duct sealing rebate for manufactured homes.

Requirements for a rebate:

  • The home where the heat pump is installed is served by Tacoma Power.
  • Replacing an existing forced air electric furnace.
  • $1,000 rebate on a non-variable speed central heat pump.
  • $2,000 rebate on a variable speed central heat pump.
  • Replacing an existing heat pump or non-electric furnace.
  • $1,000 rebate on a variable speed central heat pump.
